Substance Abuse

Preventing Relapse

The primary goal of our Substance Abuse program is prevention of relapse.  We offer substance abuse programs for young children (ages 5-11), adolescents (12-17), and adults.  Our programs are often scheduled around both school and work.  A Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP) counselor will help the individual develop goals to achieve and maintain abstinence.  This program includes assessment of use activity by the individual using a SASSI instrument (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory).

This Substance Abuse program focuses on emotional health, behavioral health, and relapse prevention.  In the program, Focus Point will monitor and follow up with community case management services, including housing, vocation, and family counseling.  This allow the individual to remain in their home and community during the program.  This Substance Abuse program stresses the importance of patient and family education.  This allows for a better understanding of emotional health issues and symptom management.  This program additionally provides and assists with the services listed below.
